"Sustainability" has become a buzzword in the modern world – in beauty it is used often, but lacks a single, clear and consistent definition. For us, that ambiguity makes one thing non-negotiable: transparency.

We do not claim to be perfectly sustainable. No brand can, sustainability is not absolute. What we can do is make intentional choices, understand the impact, and share that information openly with you.

From ingredient sourcing to packaging decisions, we evaluate trade-offs honestly. Sometimes sustainable choices are not obvious but rather a delicate balance of environmental impact, efficacy, safety, and longevity. We do not hide behind vague claims but rather commit to being as transparent as possible.

Under each product, our Source to Skin guide provides radically transparent ingredient lists, sharing why we use each ingredient, where it is sourced from, and if has been certified by a third party governing body. It is our hope that by sharing this information, Rêve + Roots can be a brand that not only inspires through travel, but can also be trusted to align with your ethics.
